The contemporary yet modern A-framed Naturally House is made of Cypress with charred portions using a Japanese preservation technique shou sugi ban.
A clean-cut geometric staircase greets guests upon entry, with an Aronson Woodworks dining table just to the left – crafted of ash and given a proprietary “Claize” finish – surrounded by Design Within Reach chairs designed by Josef Hoffman. Interiors are free of heavy moldings to give an airy feel, while the Canadian white oak floors and ceilings provide an air of rusticity. The main-level kitchen has custom-coated cabinets and Wilsonart quartz countertops honed to give them the look of soapstone. Two seemingly cabinet doors open to a pantry complete with wine fridge.

The family room and master bedroom are both on the main level with large windows looking out past the covered deck to permanently-preserved forest. Two more slabs of quartz make up the fireplace façade and give the cozy living space a modern sophistication.
